Sarah Stark is a writer, teacher, illustrator, and political scientist. She believes in the redemptive necessity of art. Her early writing about nuclear nonproliferation, international security, and peacekeeping continues to inform her fiction work, as does her teaching of world literature. She is currently finishing a second novel, Thirty Years of Noise and One Quiet Path.  Her first novel, Out There, won Foreword Review‘s INDIEFAB Editor’s Choice Award for Fiction Book of the Year, and was selected as one of Publishers Weekly Top Books of the Year. Stark lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
